The fixtures for 2009 are now under way & West Wycombe are having a good start to the season, long may it continue. Club nights are running at the ground on a Tuesday from about 6.30. Still lots of jobs to do, but the net is now ready for practicing & honing techniques.
Why not come and play. West Wycombe Cricket Club play cricket in a friendly, village atmosphere, with the emphasis on friendly (we play no league cricket). During most of the summer we have matches on Saturdays & Sundays. There is no emphasis on commitment to a specific day nor to play every week.We have a wide range of members young to oldish, ability varies too, but the emphasis at West Wycombe Cricket Club is to enjoy the game. It's not the winning that's important, it's the taking part. We do like to win as well though. It makes the pint in the pub after taste all that much better.
We also have an annual tour. In 2009 West Wycombe Cricket Club will be venturing to South Devon again, pray for a good summer this year.
